Tarot Routing now includes Planner Mode in the Driver App. The same planning tools you use on your desktop, now available on iOS and Android. Log in as a planner, not a driver, and manage your Scenarios, Runs, and Jobs from anywhere on your smartphone.
What Is Planner Mode?
Planner Mode is a mobile workspace for route planners in Tarot Routing. Instead of being tied to a desk, planners can now:
View all scheduled scenarios for a day (or across multiple days)
See runs listed by job count and status
View the full route on a map — both at scenario level and run level
Reassign jobs between runs on the fly
Move or copy individual units from one run to another
Check job details, open attachments, and update job information
Monitor progress in real time
You already have all the tools you need — you just don't need to be at a desktop to use them.
How to Log In to Planner Mode
Open the Tarot Driver App on your smartphone.
Instead of scanning a QR code or using a driver link, tap Planner Login on the home screen. Enter your Tarot Routing email address and password — the same credentials you use to log into the platform on your desktop.
Once authenticated, you're in the Planner workspace. You'll see options to access Scenarios, view your Runs, sort units, and scan a runsheet or pre-scan, the same as any other driver would — but the interface is built for planner workflows, not delivery workflows.

The Planner Dashboard
After logging in, you land on the Planner Dashboard. Here's what you can do:
Scenarios — See all scenarios for the selected date with their stage, status, and job count. Tap to load the one you want to work with. Use the date filter to view multiple days if you manage several scenarios at once.
Runs — Once a scenario is selected, see every route assigned to it, with job counts and flags for unserved jobs.
Job Pool — View jobs that haven't been assigned to any run yet, ready to be added to a route.
Scenario Statistics — Real-time progress report showing jobs completed, units delivered, and route status.
Map — Scenario-level map view showing all routes and stops colour-coded by run.
Selecting and Viewing a Scenario
Tap Scenarios from the dashboard. You'll see a list of all scenarios with their scheduled date, stage, and total job count — the same view you see on the desktop platform.
Tap the scenario you want to work with. It loads immediately.

Once loaded, the dashboard pinned to the top shows the scenario name and current status. You can now access Runs, the Job Pool, statistics, and the full map view of all stops across all runs.
Viewing Your Runs
Tap Runs to see every route assigned to the active scenario. Each run shows:
Run name (e.g., "Botany 1", "Botany 2 - 11:30-3")
Job count
Any unserved jobs flagged clearly
Tap any run to expand it. You'll see the ordered list of jobs, start and end points, and action buttons for reordering, moving jobs, or accessing job details.
Tap Map to switch to the run-level map view — same stops, with the ability to tap each pin to see the job number, customer, address, and sequence.

Managing Jobs on the Fly
Tap any job in a run to open the job action menu. From here you can:
Open Attachments — View or edit the units, returns, and containers attached to the job
Edit Job — Update job details directly from the app
Move to Another Run — Reassign the entire job to a different run (same as dragging on the desktop platform)
Move Job to Pool — Pull the job and all its attachments out of the run and into the Job Pool
Copy Job to Pool — Create a copy of the job and its attachments without removing the original

This is useful when you need to split a run on the road, pull a problematic job out of a route mid-shift, or make last-minute adjustments without being in the office.
Managing Units and Attachments
Most workflows in Planner Mode happen at the job level — move or reassign the whole job. But if you need to work at the unit level (e.g., one item from a multi-unit job can't be delivered and needs to be held back), you can.
Tap Open Attachments on any job. You'll see the Units tab with every unit attached to that job.
Select one or more units and tap Move or Copy to reassign them to a different run or the Job Pool. The remaining units stay with the original job.
Need to add a unit on the spot? Tap Add new and enter the unit UID, name, invoice reference, and any custom fields your operation uses.

Map Views: Scenario and Run Level
Scenario Map — Tap Map from the dashboard to see all routes at once. Each run is colour-coded. Tap any stop pin to see the job number, customer, address, and sequence without leaving the map. Useful for spotting clashes, gaps, or opportunity for optimisation.
Run Map — Tap Map from any run detail to zoom in on that single route. See all stops in order, and tap any pin to see the full job details. Navigate without switching apps — the map sits alongside job information and action buttons.
One Thing to Know: Single Session Limit
Tarot currently supports one active session at a time. Logging into Planner Mode on your phone will sign you out of the platform on your desktop, and vice versa. This is temporary, we're fixing it in an upcoming release. If it's a problem for your workflow, get in touch and we can set up a second account for you.
More Coming to Planner Mode
This first release is focused on managing what's already in a scenario — reordering runs, moving jobs and units, checking progress. Full creation is next: soon you'll be able to create Jobs, Runs, and Scenarios directly from the app too, so you can plan, optimise, and dispatch a whole warehouse from your phone.
Get Started
Planner Mode is live and available to all Tarot Routing customers. No opt-in needed. Just open the Driver App on your smartphone, tap Planner Login, and you're in.

FAQ
Q: Do I need a company phone to use Planner Mode?
No. Planner Mode works on any iOS or Android smartphone — including your personal device. Location tracking only occurs while you have a scenario or run loaded in the app and stops automatically when you close it.
Q: Can I reorder jobs within a run from the app?
Yes. Tap into a run detail, then tap Order to see the job sequence. You can reorder manually, or you can use the Details view to see planning constraints (start time, window, service time) alongside actual execution data, which helps you decide whether a reorder makes sense.
Q: What if I move a job to the Job Pool and then want to put it back in a run?
Tap Job Pool from the dashboard, find the job, and tap Move to Run. Select the destination run and the job is assigned immediately.
Q: Can planners see the same data as drivers in Planner Mode?
No. Planner Mode shows planning data — job details, constraints, sequences, and run structure. Driver mode shows execution data — proof of delivery, photos, signatures, timestamps. If you need driver-level proof data, view it on the desktop platform or ask a driver to send you photos or notes directly.
Q: Can I log in to both the Driver App (as a driver) and Planner Mode at the same time?
Not currently. One session at a time. If you're a dual-role user (planner and driver), you'll need to switch roles by logging out and logging back in. Alternatively, request a second account from your administrator and you can stay logged in to both simultaneously.
Q: If I move a job mid-delivery, does the driver see the change in real time?
Yes. Jobs are synced in real time. If you pull a job out of a run or move it to another run, the driver's runsheet updates immediately. You and your drivers always see the same data.
